Financial Info

Below are a few options we offer that you may find helpful when considering the cost of orthodontic treatment.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Most insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits.

As a courtesy to you, we are happy to help you initiate your orthodontic claim. By providing us with your insurance information, we will gladly file a claim and accept payment directly from your insurance provider. This means that your out of pocket expense will be immediately reduced by the total amount of your insurance benefit.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.

Our Office Payment Plan

Your initial payment is due when treatment begins. The remaining cost can be paid in monthly installments, over a given period of time, by an automatic bank draft from your checking or savings account, or by Visa, Mastercard or Discover. There are no in-office finance or interest charges.

Get a discount

We offer a 3% courtesy discount for eligible patients who pay in full when treatment starts.

Frequently Asked Financial and Insurance Questions

  • How does orthodontic insurance work?
  • There are many different agreements between insurance carriers and their subscribers, and each contract provides a different benefit. However, orthodontic insurance generally differs from regular dental insurance in that each insured individual usually has a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. This benefit is paid as a percentage of the orthodontic fee (diagnostic records, initial fee, monthly payments, etc.) until the benefit maximum has been reached. Charges for lost or broken appliances may not be covered by insurance.
  • How does this office assist you with insurance?
  • For your convenience we will gladly assist you in submitting both predetermination and initial insurance claims pertaining to charges for care rendered in our office. However, please be aware our primary financial relationship is with our patients and their families, and not with their respective insurance companies. Final responsibility for collection of benefits from your insurance company rests with the insured party. Our professional services are charged directly to the patient or their family and they are responsible for payment of all fees incurred.

  • Is orthodontics expensive?
  • The cost of orthodontics at Ross and Munn Orthodontics is within the average range for this area. Our prices reflect the high-level of care, training and expertise you receive from Dr. Ross and Dr. Munn.
